Jana Kramer bio
Jana Kramer is a country musician, actor and singer who became a household name on television when she was chosen to play Alex on One Tree Hill for the last three seasons. The show featured her in a number of episodes as a new country artist, which allowed her debut album reach the Billboard 200 Top 20. Thirty One by 2015 was the follow-up and reached Number Ten. It was the end of the decade with appearances on Dancing with the Stars, TV films and non-album singles. It was released in 2021 as The self-doubting Voices. Growing up within Rochester Hills Michigan Jana Rae Kramer grew up on country music. She would later pursue a recording career but she made her debut as an actor who made her screen debut in the 2002 indie horror film Dead/Undead when she was still in her teens. Through the years she was on numerous series, including All My Children and CSI: NY before landing the regular role as Noelle Davenport in NBC's Friday Night Lights in the 2nd season (2007-2008). Kramer was then on TV as Portia Ranson on 90210 from 2008 to 2009 and Brooke Manning in Entourage in 2009. She joined the cast of CW One Tree Hill in 2009 as Alex Dupre where she stayed up until the final episode in 2012, which was half way in. Jana Kramer During her run on the show Kramer has signed a record deal for her record label Elektra Records and debuted the contemporary country love song I Won't Give up on an episode in 2011 in One Tree Hill. This track appeared later on her debut album in mid 2012. Billboard Top Country Albums ranked the track in the Top Five. The singer focused her attention on her singing career while still acting and starred in films which enticed her fans, like Heart of the Country 2013 and Country Crush 2016. Kramer has released her sophomore album Thirty One on Warner Music Nashville in October 2015. It was a Top Five Country Hit I Got the Boy The album, as well as The duo track that Steven Tyler and Aerosmith performed together helped the album reach number 3 in the Billboard 200 and number 10 on the chart for country albums. Beginning in September of 2016 the singer was a part of two weeks in the 23rd season of Dancing with the Stars, and finished with an overall fourth-place finish. In the same year, she made a splash with an adult contemporary track with Straight No Chaser's Feels Like Christmas.
